Episode 10 - Guilt, Shame, Fear and The Lungs
Today starts a discussion on the emotional flow of the five elements. Each element corresponds with different organs, emotions, biological functions and energetic channels. What is the importance of the Lung to health? The Lung’s major functions include maintaining healthy immune defences against pathogens, as well as circulating energy and fluids throughout the body. The body retains memories. In stressful situations, this can set off a psychosomatic and/or viscerosomatic reaction; the human body is the seat of a permanent "emotion-organ-bahviour-organ" cycle.
Episode 11 - Fear and The Kidneys
Matt and Nuala are in the emotional flow of the five elements. The next stage are the kidneys. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Kidney is the powerhouse of the body, supplying reserve energy to any organ running low on energy or Qi. We hold emotions in the fascia surrounding organs. Fear is the emotion associated with the Kidney. With severe panic attacks and fear, your body may be trying to tell you that Kidney energy is deficient or is imbalanced. This exploration of psychosomatic and/or viscerosomatic reactions often show up as seemingly unrelated symptoms.
Due to technical issues and Matt’s inability with technology, today's video stops at around 12 minutes. View full episode Here

From an organ perspective we are talking about the TRIPLE BURNER or San Jiao and PERICARDIUM or heart protector. It is the only element where by its yang organ is only energetic and does not actually correlate to physical flesh. However, as we explain today, we believe it powerfully corresponds to our hormonal system, as they both work to influence and coordinate harmony within the body and are something we cannot live without!
